Alma

Almost every morning at around 10 or 10:30 I get in the elevator and head up to the 10th floor of the Joseph Smith Memorial building, where I get to start filling butter bowls and rolling silverware bins. Something that I always get to look forward to when I get to work is going back into the kitchen and seeing who the dishwasher is for the day.

Enter Alma.

Something I don't understand is how so many different people can all work at the same place. There is a little Asian man that works as a dishwasher at the JSMB, and he lights up my day every time I work with him. He can speak very little English, and he wears mis-matched galoshes every shift. :) The great thing about Alma is that he is the perfect mix of Mr. Miyagi and Yoda. His smile stretches across his entire face, and it makes him seem like a cartoon character. I'm waiting for the day that he breaks out in some crazy karate moves, or offers me some incredible advice that changes my destiny.

So thanks Alma. Thanks for bringing a smile to my face everyday at work, and thanks for being my Mr. Yoda.
